Feed My Lambs 2015
The summer feeding program for the Sweeny area will begin on Monday, July 6 and run through August 12. Meals will be served to children on Mondays and Wednesdays. Serving locations are: Windmill Run Apartments, Mc Kinney Manor Apartments, VFW area, Canterbury Square Apartments, and Oak Bend Apartments. Serving time is 3:00pm.
Adult and youth volunteers are needed to help with the program which is housed in Watts Hall of First UNITED Methodist Church Sweeny. To volunteer to help, call the church office at 548-2192 between the hours of 9:30 and 12:30 Monday through Friday. Thanks for stepping out in faith and helping serve God through this program. Feed My Lambs Meeting for 2015 on Thursday, May 22 at 1:00 pm, First United Methodist Church.

Summer is almost here and we have critical decisions to make for Feed My Lambs, our summer feeding program for children.
We need your HELP. Due to changes in people's lives, we are asking for workers, new or veterans of the program, to step up and help with the organization and running of this meaningful ministry.
John 21:15 tells us, "When they had finished breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" Peter told him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus told him, "Feed my lambs."
Remember, Jesus is the one who challenged the disciples to feed the 5000 and we are being challenged now. We know that feeding the children is what we are called to do: it truly makes a difference in their lives.

Please attend an important meeting on Thursday, May 21st at 1:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church of Sweeny. We are asking that each church send a representative, plus anyone else that is interested in serving our Lord by feeding his sheep (our children).

Christ is asking you to have faith as small as a mustard seed so we can move mountains as we accept the challenge before us.
God's blessings on each church and each individual as you prayerfully respond to this need in our Sweeny community.

Feed My Lambs is in the planning stages for 2012! We will have a planning meeting tonight in Watts Hall (Office building) of the First United Methodist Church at 6:30pm. Please make plans to attend!!!!

Feed My Lambs - Sweeny is getting ready to begin the year 2011, our third summer. It begins on June 6 and goes through August 12. Times will be from 3:00 to 3:30, each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the above dates. There will be no service on Monday, July 4, due to this being a holiday and the Fourth of July picnic in the park. Thanks to all for your support this year. God is truly blessing this program.

Serving the Lord by continuing to provide meals, during the summer months, for preschool-high school aged children on free-lunch programs at school. Based on the scripture in John 21:15, where Jesus tells Peter, "If you love me, feed my sheep."
