When the CCC presented its first-ever country-themed concert in 2023, there was one song we knew we had to include: "Jolene."

At first, our children weren't quite sure what to think about a country music concert. But as they spent the summer getting to know the songs, they fell in love with the storytelling at the heart of the genre, something Dolly Parton mastered like few others.

Today, we're looking back at our children's performance of "Jolene" and remembering an artist whose music still brings people together across generations.

Thank you, Dolly. 🩷🎶

It's a bee-utiful day to look back on a very "sweet" moment from our Summer Learning Program. 🐝 🍯

Our third- and fourth-graders explore the natural world through our partnership with the Scott Arboretum & Gardens. During one memorable class, Steve from the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild introduced our children to the fascinating world of honeybees, sharing fun facts, a close-up look at a hive, and, of course, a honey tasting.

On National Book Lovers Day, we're celebrating those volunteers who spent their mornings reading one-to-one with our children, helping foster a lifelong love of books. Thank you for making a difference, one page at a time. 📚

We’re still talking about this unforgettable performance from CCC alumna Skyy Brooks.

Fresh off earning her degree from Harvard, Skyy is now completing her master’s at Berklee College of Music, and her stunning rendition of Ella Fitzgerald’s “How High the Moon” is proof she’s exactly where she belongs.
