We are very excited to announce that the speaker for the next meeting of Swarthmore Sustainable Table, a community group focused on food sustainability, will be Tina Johnson, the General Manager of Chester's Community Grocery Co-op. This meeting will be on Thursday, January 26th, at 7 PM at Hobbs Coffee.

In addition to providing some background on the Chester Co-op, Tina will focus her talk primarily on the development of local food systems in Chester, with their co-op as a foundation; and on using the cooperative model as a method for community building and reinvestment, as well as improving access to healthy, local food in underserved urban areas.

The public is invited to what will undoubtedly be an enlightening and engaging event. Please join us! If you have any questions or need more information, contact Andy Rosen at [email protected].
