We had a wonderful dance with The Kelpies, Alex Burka, and Cristian Clothier this week, and we’re excited to welcome returning Swarthmore College students to our next dance on September 8th! 🎶💃

It's been a minute, and we're so happy to have been back to dancing this week after our last dance had to be canceled. We were thrilled to welcome new friends and old friends, with one of the best impromptu lines of the night from a newly-returned dancer: "I can't believe I almost forgot how fun this is!" Thank you so much to Liesl and our ROCKING By-Ear Open Band for a wonderful night! And thank you to Jenny for surprise ice cream to celebrate her own birthday! 🍨🎊⭐️🎈

We wanted to share some highlights of this week's dance—in addition to a touching birthday celebration (with BROWNIES AND ICE CREAM courtesy of Jenny), we were delighted to see Jeremy for the evening. The By-Ear Open Band continues to give us satisfying takes on favorite tunes, with fun opportunities for solos (shout-out to Evan!), and Alex continues to pick dances that flow beautifully for us on his nights to call 💃

Reminder that our fourth Tuesday dance is CANCELLED this month due to a pre-existing event at the Park Avenue Community Center. See you in August!

Dancing friends, we are FILLED WITH JOY after our techno contra last night! 🌈 Thank you to everyone who came and supported our community, with special acknowledgment to the 20 or so first-timers—we hope to see many more of you again! ⭐️

Thank you for a great evening everyone! Stephanie was so busy having fun dancing that she only remembered to take one picture (the brave people who made it to the end, here!), so if you took a picture please send it to her 😅 With new faces from Swarthmore College and the larger community we had a wonderful long line of dancers. Thank you to the fantastic By Ear Open band, and to Jared Bishop and to Scott Higgs for calling awesome dances. See you in two weeks: May 26th.

A big thank you to Yesterday's Pierogies for their music last night—lovely and energetic even as they were coming back from NEFFA (New England Folk Festival last weekend)—and to Rick Mohr for beautiful, smooth, and fun dances. It was a particular joy to see JOYE, who couldn't resist dancing after weeks of recovery—we were all very gentle with her ☺️
