We wanted to re-share our post to serve as a reminder for those who were interested in attending our monthly meeting, or where considering the idea, and for anyone who may have missed our original post!

📢 BOARD MEMBERS WANTED 📢

The Swanzey Community House is looking for volunteers to join our Board of Directors.

The Swanzey Community House is a historic building that is over 100 years old and is owned by the town residents. We are not owned or operated by the Town of Swanzey, and we do not receive funding or volunteer support from the town in any way. Our continued existence depends entirely on community involvement, donations, and volunteers.

Responsibilities include:
• Attending one monthly meeting
• Occasional building refreshing and upkeep
• Opening and closing the building for events
• Assisting with occasional tasks as needed

If you are interested in helping support and preserve this important part of our community, please join us at one of our monthly meetings held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Swanzey Community House, 18 Old Richmond Rd, Swanzey, NH.

Thank you to all who have come to our Craft & Chats!! We keep getting great feedback not only from those of you that have attended, but also from others who want to know when our next one is. There is still one more Craft & Chat in 2024. The date is November 23rd so please mark your calendars so you can come and join us. ** Next year there will be six Craft & Chats starting in January and one every other month to follow.



Please join us on Saturday, November 23, 2024, for community, conversation, and food, at the next Craft & Chat event to benefit the Swanzey Community House. The Swanzey Community House is located at 18 Old Richmond Road, in Swanzey, NH.

Bring your current craft project, your community spirit, and a snack to share. Join us to work on a project or two, share your knowledge and learn from others, as well as nourish our community spirit.

We will supply you with table space, a chair, an electrical outlet, if necessary, a welcoming community, and lively conversation in a positive atmosphere. Please leave the politics at home.

We hope to see all kinds of crafts including but not limited to crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, card making, painting, jewelry making, quilling, quilting and the list goes on.

We are all responsible for picking up our work area, including sweeping our area if necessary.

The day runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is $20.00 per person when the weather gets cold plus your snack/dish to share. Don’t forget to bring your own lunch and whatever you want to drink. The snack/dish we are asking you to bring is for snacking throughout the day. The Community House has a fully functioning kitchen so you can put your lunch in the fridge, make yourself a cup of tea (you supply the tea bag and sweetener) or bring what you need to make coffee (we have a couple coffee makers) or pop that bag of popcorn you brought in our microwave.

You do not need to register beforehand, but space is limited to the first 30 so if you want to guarantee yourself a spot, please send in your registration form with payment at your earliest convenience.
