Be on the lookout for Tootsie Rolls this coming month at our local businesses. You will see a few Knights of Columbus members handing these out after mass as well.

All donations go directly to organizations that support individuals with intellectual disabilities (Special Olympics, community homes, etc.)

The Grey Eagle/Swanville KC’s along with the Upsala KC’s recently helped sponsor some young adults from our area on their trip down to SEEK25 in Salt Lake City. There was around 17,000 young Catholics gathered there with lots of excellent speakers, it was truly inspiring!! Joseph also signed up to join our council while down there, so we would like to welcome him!

If you are interested in attending trips like this, feel free to reach out, we would love to help out. Also look forward to an ACC Steubenville trip coming up this summer for Grades 9-12 to St. Thomas.

The Grey Eagle / Swanville Knights of Columbus is proud to support our area Catholic schools. Pictured is knight Don Kerfeld presenting a $500 check to St. Mary’s Catholic School in Melrose. These funds will be used to purchase bibles for the students in the 2nd Grade class!!

We will again be doing our Coats for Kids distribution this year. They will be available at Swanville School to browse through and pickup the week of October 28th. Remaining coats at the end of that week will be brought to Todd County Human Services.

The Knights of Columbus is proud to support our youth and young adults in their Catholic faith. Pictured is Grand Knight Tanner Koetter presenting a check to Grace Throener for her recent trip to Steubenville down in Rochester!

As we bring our new fraternal year, we have had numerous meetings with our council officers, Grand Knights from other councils in our ACC, and our new priests. One thing that was very clear in all of our meetings is that we want to prioritize our youth and get them more involved in the church. The Knights of Columbus plans to help in this mission by providing support in any way we can. Look forward to scholarship opportunities rewarding students who play an active roll in the church, especially with mass serving. We are also hoping to get more students from our parishes to attend Steubenville and will continue to support those who go. Father Gabe especially plays an active role in participating in Steubenville and is hoping to get a group formed in our area.
