Reminder! Coffee & Conversations is THIS Friday!

Join the Swanton Area Chamber of Commerce on Friday, October 30, for a special Coffee & Conversations: October 2026 Sponsored by Swanton Valley Rehabilitation & Healthcare focused on bringing local businesses and government leaders together!

We've extended invitations to township trustees, county commissioners, Village of Swanton Council members, and other elected officials to join us for a morning of networking, community updates, and meaningful conversations.

This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow business professionals, meet local leaders, and strengthen relationships throughout our community.

This weekend we got to celebrate 50 years of Club Salon & Day Spa, but what makes that even more incredible is that Pam Moore has owned it for ALL 50 of them. The rain did not stop them from having an amazing party! 🎉

50 years of styles, trends, technology, economies, and everything else that comes with owning a business. Thousands of clients, generations of families, employees who started careers there, friendships, weddings, proms, first haircuts, big changes and probably a whole lot of life talked about from those salon chairs.

For perspective, only about one third of small businesses make it to 10 years.

Pam made it to FIFTY and told me she wants twenty more.

May we all be lucky enough to look back one day and see 50 years of something we built, people we impacted and a community we were lucky enough to be part of.

May we all carry on a legacy like Pam Moore.

From the Swanton Chamber, congratulations, Pam. 50 years is truly incredible. 🤍

Sometimes being the Chamber Director means meetings. Sometimes it means sneaking into a business that isn’t even open yet and crashing their taste testing session to eat a burger.

I unexpectedly popped into .atoakopenings to see how things are coming along. Hence the very professional wardrobe.

My official findings:

🍔 Burger: 10/10
🥤 Italian soda: 10/10
🍕 The question Facebook is dying to know: Yes there will be pizza
🔨 Construction: underway
⏰ Opening: They want to open just as badly as all of you want them to open!

They’re working on it, Swanton, and it’s going to be great. In the meantime, I will continue making these sacrifices for the good of the community.

P.S. The burger 💯
