Our most sincere thank you to everyone who supported our Calcutta this evening. A huge shout out to all in attendance, all of the amazing businesses and community members who donated items for our silent auction and raffles, and to all who worked hard to orchestrate the event (including Mr. White, our awesome MC). While the final tally is still in work, with the generosity of our guests and donors we and the Swanton Village Fire Auxiliary were able to raise money that will directly benefit the Swanton Village Fire Department. The acts of generosity throughout the night were impactful, and we are incredibly grateful to our wonderful community both within and beyond the borders of Swanton. Thank you!

We are organizing a Meat Raffle to support one of our firefighters, Bruce Whalen, who has been recently diagnosed with throat cancer prior to the holiday season. Anyone familiar with Bruce knows that he would readily assist others, so let us come together to aid Bruce with his medical expenses incurred during this challenging time.

We’d like to extend a special thank you to everyone who visited our tent at the car show today for lunch, as well as to our sponsors McKenzie’s Country Classics for their donation of Hot Dogs, Matthew McCrea for coordinating the donation of hot dog and hamburger buns, as well as Chris Ayers and DFA (St. Albans Co-operative Creamery) for donating ice. Your contributions helped to keep the cost of our event down and greatly contributed to the success of our fundraiser!
