This announcement is long overdue, and I want to start by thanking every teammate that played a role in making this year's tournament a huge success. This year we secured sponsorships from our local business community, vendors from both plants and builders from both Nucor Building Systems and American Buildings brands. We were able to raise more than $30,000, surpassing all previous years!

This year we partnered with Big Homie Lil Homie in Columbia, SC, an organization that mentors more than 500 at-risk boys ages 5–17 from single-parent homes and foster care. Through mentoring, educational support, family engagement, and positive activities, the program helps youth build confidence, improve academic outcomes, and avoid risky behaviors.

Despite recent challenges affecting DEI programs and nonprofit funding, the mentors have remained committed, often using their own financial resources to sustain the program. We are proud to have provided the largest charitable contribution in the organization's history. In addition to the cash donation, $5,000 funded a back-to-school initiative that provided 87 children with new shoes and hygiene bags to help them start the new school year with confidence.

As we've worked together throughout the last year, we've seen how closely their values align with our culture. If you're interested in mentoring or supporting future initiatives, we'd be happy to share more about their impact in our community.

Additionally, we have developed a plan for some of the recent graduates to tour the plant and explore entry-level opportunities. We believe this partnership can provide an alternative option to college in a trade that provides financial stability for youth that are facing the challenge of aging out of foster care and the program. They will visit us October 8th, and we hope that you will make time to visit with them and share your Nucor story.

The annual teammate tournament was the largest it's ever been. Without our teammates from all three locations, this annual charity event wouldn't be possible.

Our Welcome Cruise on The Spirit of Lake Murray was a huge success; great food, fellowship and a beautiful view. We thank every partner, builder and teammate for making this possible and look forward to next year!
