Summer Ferry Schedule starts today. First boat departs the mainland at 9:30am. Last boat departs Bear Island at 6:00pm.

The ferry runs Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in May. Mainland departures are hourly starting at 9:30 a.m. Tickets are sold each day on a first come, first served basis. You can purchase any ferry time departure as early as 8 a.m. at the visitor center. The last ferry departs Bear Island at 5 p.m.

The ferry to Bear Island is very popular on these beautiful days. The office starts selling tickets at 8:00 in the morning. Come early to enjoy the best beach in North Carolina!
