Crystal Coast Choral Society A non-auditioned community adult choral group dedicated to presenting diverse styles of choral music to the highest possible standard.

The Crystal Coast Choral Society is a community chorus of 50-60 singers who enjoy the fellowship and sense of accomplishment of preparing and performing the best choral music to the highest standard. We do not require an audition nor the ability to read music. However, we do expect chorus members to have a pleasant singing voice, the ability to match pitch to sing within the appropriate voice section, and be willilng to devote time to personal practice outside the weekly rehearsals.

The Crystal Coast Coral Society celebrated 40 years of making music together in Onslow and Carteret counties on Tuesday night Oct 20, 2026. We all love to sing together and are thankful for all the talent in our chorus.
Lynn Rouse (yours truly) is the last original member of the choral society, having joined 40 years ago. It was a fun celebration and all enjoyed eating a great covered dish dinner before rehearsal started.
“Thank you” to the CCCS board for remembering and highlighting these 40 years of singing together 🎶🎶🎶”

Message from Finley Woolston, former CCCS director;
to all my friends in the Crystal Coast Choral Society. I come to you with sad news. Jonathan Griffith, the Co-Founder and Principal Conductor of Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) suffered a massive heart attack and died this morning at his home in Oregon. Many in the Choral Society remember when Jonathan was guest conductor for our complete Messiah concert a few years ago. Many of us over the years have also had the honor of singing for Jonathan in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center or on numerous overseas tours.
Finley Woolston.
Here is album from Lynn Rouse remembering April 2023-Jonathan Griffith conducting CCCS performing Handel’s Messiah
