🏴‍☠️ 💙 INTRODUCING THE SBES TEACHER’S FIRST MATE PROGRAM! 💛 ⚓

We’re excited to introduce something new this year at Swansboro Elementary School, and we need our Pirate parents to help us make it a success! 🏴‍☠️
Every great captain needs a First Mate, and our amazing teachers are no exception! ❤️

The Teacher’s First Mate Program is designed to connect each classroom with a parent volunteer who can be a go-to person when the teacher needs an extra hand, a little coordination, or some parent support throughout the year.

⚓ What does a Teacher’s First Mate do?
- 🙌 Help with classroom needs or special requests from the teacher.
- 🤝 Coordinate parent volunteers when extra hands are needed.
- 🎁 Organize teacher gifts, surprises, and special appreciation moments.
- 💌 Help encourage parent involvement and keep classroom support organized.
- 💙 Be a helpful connection between the teacher and families when support is needed.

Don’t worry — you don’t have to do it all yourself! Your role may simply be helping coordinate, communicating with other parents, or finding someone who can lend a hand. Every classroom and teacher will have different needs!

📝 INTERESTED IN BEING A FIRST MATE?
We’re putting together a form for parents who are interested in volunteering for this role. If you’d love to be a helping hand for your child’s classroom, we encourage you to sign up!

A few important things to know: ⚓ Signing up expresses your interest in the program. ⚓ All interested parents’ names will be collected and shared with school staff. ⚓ Teachers and staff will decide whether they would like a First Mate and how much they choose to utilize the program.

Our goal is to make things a little easier for our teachers, build stronger classroom communities, and create more opportunities for parents to get involved! 💛💙

We know our teachers do SO much for our Pirates, and this is one more way we can show them that they have a whole crew behind them! 🏴‍☠️❤️

🐟💙 CALLING ALL SBES PIRATES! WE NEED YOUR HELP! 💛🏴‍☠️

We have an amazing opportunity to raise money for our Swansboro Elementary School PTO, and we need YOUR help to make it happen! 🙌

🛍️ Nearly New Fish Benefit Sale Volunteer Opportunity!

📅 Wednesday, October 21 ⏰ 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM 📍 Swansboro Rotary Civic Center (right across the street from SBES!)

💙 HERE’S THE SCOOP: The more volunteers we have helping during the benefit sale, the more Nearly New Fish will donate back to our SBES PTO! Every hour counts, and every helping hand makes a difference for our students and staff! 🏴‍☠️

✨ How can you help?

👕 Restock the sales floor
🧥 Hang clothing and organize racks
🛍️ Help customers
💵 Work the cash register
😅 Not sure how to do these things? NO WORRIES! They will train you on everything! All you need to bring is a willingness to help and a little Pirate spirit! 💙💛

⏰ CAN’T HELP ON WEDNESDAY? YOU CAN STILL HELP!

If you’re available to volunteer Thursday through Monday, simply stop by the Rotary Civic Center and ask for Hunter or Michelle. They’ll get you signed in so your volunteer hours count toward the SBES PTO benefit!

Whether you can give an hour, a few hours, or an entire shift, EVERY HOUR COUNTS! 🙌

Let’s show up for our Pirates and turn a little volunteer time into BIG support for our school! 💙💛

💦 No set price — just donate what you can! Every dollar raised goes directly back to the SBES PTO to support our students, staff, and the resources that make Swansboro Elementary such a special place to learn! 📚🏴‍☠️

🙌 BUT FIRST… WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! 🙌

We’re looking for helping hands to make this event a success, and we would especially LOVE to see our amazing SBES teachers and staff come out and join the fun! 💙💛 Let’s be honest… YOU are the stars of the show! ⭐️ We know our Pirates would love to see their favorite teachers and staff out there supporting their school!
