🦁 Welcome to the Pride, Coach Simms! 🏃♂️
Asheville Christian Athletics is excited to announce Jacob Simms as our new Head Track & Field Coach!
Coach Simms comes to ACA from Montreat College, where he led the track & field and cross-country programs from 2022 to 2026, coaching numerous conference champions, national qualifiers, and championship-winning performances. Before Montreat, he spent six years coaching at NCAA Division II Southern Wesleyan University and two years as head coach of the men’s and women’s track & field programs at North Greenville University, where he also competed as an athlete and earned his degree in history.
He joins us at the perfect time, as construction wraps up on our brand-new eight-lane championship track & field facility!
“Jacob is knowledgeable, relational, and deeply enthusiastic about developing student-athletes,” said Athletic Director Joe Johnson. “His experience building successful collegiate programs, combined with the opportunities provided by our new championship facility, positions Lion Track & Field for an exciting future.”
Coach Simms and his wife, Whitney, are the parents of three children. Please join us in giving the Simms family a warm Lions welcome! 💙
