This week, we celebrated the 16th Annual Gathering of the Pride Athletic Awards Banquet! 🏆

More than 300 varsity letterwinners and parents gathered together to honor the hard work, dedication, leadership, and achievements of our student-athletes during the 2025–26 athletic year.

We are proud of each athlete and grateful for the coaches, families, and supporters who make ACA Athletics so special. Once a Lion, always a Lion! 🦁

Congratulations to ACA alum Luke Collier (‘22) on being named an NCBWA All-American — the first All-American in ACA baseball history! 👏⚾

Luke recently graduated from Lee University after an outstanding collegiate career and has officially entered the transfer portal.

What an incredible showing for ACA Track & Field at the NCISAA 3A State Track Meet this past weekend in Raleigh, NC! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🔥

Our girls team finished 4th in the state, while the boys team earned an 8th place finish!

Congratulations to our state medalists:

🏆 State Champions – Girls 4x100m Relay
Rebekah Bass, Laura Rinehart, Molly Hutzler, Victoria Hartman

🥈 2nd Place – Girls 4x200m Relay
Rebekah Bass, Laura Rinehart, Molly Hutzler, Rilee Hair

🥉 3rd Place Finishes
• Girls 4xm Relay – Rachel Bass, Adelaide Little, Anna Barrett, Kelsey Trayford
• Girls 4x800m Relay – Rachel Bass, Anna Barrett, Adelaide Little, Kelsey Trayford
• Micah Medrano – 300m Hurdles
• Addison Shroeder – 100m
• Rebekah Bass – 400m

Spring Senior Signing Day 2026

Congratulations to Leyton Patterson and Rachel Bass on officially signing to the colleges of their choice. This is a tremendous milestone, and we are incredibly proud of both of them.

Leyton will be attending Carteret Community College, where he will continue his baseball career and bring his competitive spirit to the next level.

Rachel will be attending Milligan University, where she will continue her volleyball career and make an immediate impact with her work ethic, leadership, and competitive drive.

Both of these outstanding student‑athletes have shown dedication, resilience, and a commitment to excellence. We know they will continue to compete with pride and represent their families, their teams, and Asheville Christian Academy with honor.

Congratulations, Leyton and Rachel — your future is bright, and your ACA family is cheering you on every step of the way.

After more than two decades of faithful service, longtime Head Boys’ Basketball Coach Andy Ray announced his resignation yesterday evening.

Coach Ray leaves behind an extraordinary legacy at Asheville Christian Academy, highlighted by 398 career wins, multiple conference championships, and two state titles. Even more impactful is the way he shaped the lives of countless young men, guiding them in character, faith, and growth both on and off the court.

From building a strong youth program to investing deeply in his players and community, his influence reaches far beyond basketball. His leadership, grounded in faith, has left a lasting mark on our school.
We are deeply grateful for his dedication and the legacy he leaves behind.

Thank you, Coach Ray.
