MTA Annual Meeting delegates have elected Andover Education Association President Matt Bach and Malden Education Association President Deb Gesualdo as the president and vice president of the 117,000-member organization. They will take office on July 15. Link to a news story in the comments.

From SC: The town will be doing their FY 27 budget presentation on Monday. It was moved from this week to next so please attend in-person or online. Finance & School committees will be present to observe so everyone is on the same page.

Look forward to seeing town meeting members and the public in general that evening. Do note the agenda does have a public comment section so ask your questions before the presentation.

Your advocacy worked! Gov. Healey has asked the Group Insurance Commission to not increase co-pays and deductibles for the health care plans used by public employees. We are canceling our rallies planned for tomorrow in Springfield and Boston. We are moving ahead with a message to the GIC about maintaining coverage for GLP-1 medications used for weight management, which is set to end. There is more work to be done, but you earned a major victory today.
