Honoring Three Outstanding Public Servants πŸŽ‰

At this week's Select Board meeting, the Town of Swampscott proudly recognized Heidi Whear, Israela (Izzi) Abrams, and Glenn Bartram for their remarkable years of service as they begin their well-earned retirements.

πŸ’™ Heidi Whear served as Director of Aging Services since 2020, transforming the Senior Center into an even more welcoming and vibrant community resource. Through expanded programming, the creation of Seaglass Village, the Forget Me Not initiative, and her dedication to making Swampscott a more age-friendly and inclusive community, Heidi has left a lasting impact on countless residents.

πŸ“š Israela "Izzi" Abrams dedicated more than 31 years to the Swampscott Public Library, inspiring generations of children and families through storytimes, crafts, special events, and her unwavering passion for literacy. Her creativity and commitment helped create lifelong memories and a love of reading for so many in our community.

πŸš’ Glenn Bartram served the Swampscott Fire Department for 28 years, earning the respect of colleagues and residents alike through his professionalism, compassion, and steady leadership. Whether responding to emergencies or mentoring the next generation of firefighters, Glenn's commitment to public service has made a lasting difference.

Please join us in thanking them for their many years of service and wishing them all the very best in retirement! πŸ’™
