What a way to start the Fall season for the 11U North Gwinnett Bulldogs (Wood)! ⚾
The boys went 3-0 this weekend at the PBR Ocee Park Sunday Series 🏆
Game 1: Bulldogs 9 - Bombers Premier 4
Reese Wood got us started on the mound with 3 scoreless innings and 9 strikeouts, and he was just as good at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a homer and 2 doubles.
Lincoln Volling went 2-for-3 with a big 3-run triple, Jack Kaeser had a 2-run single, and Beckett Buckner went 2-for-2. Asher Tunick followed Reese with 3 innings and gave up just 1 earned run.
Game 2: Bulldogs 20 - Devine Rylee 6
Reese had 2 triples and 3 RBI, Lincoln went 2-for-2 with 3 RBI, Gavin Fortmann had 3 RBI, and Jack Kaeser had 3 RBI while also drawing 2 walks. Sanders Johnson and Jackson Portanova both had 2-hit games.
Lincoln gave us 1.1 scoreless innings on the mound, and Ashton Donastorg came in to close it out with a scoreless inning.
Championship: Bulldogs 8 - Bombers Premier 5
We didn't have everything go our way early, and the boys had to battle back. They stayed together, kept competing and eventually took control of the game. That's probably the part of the weekend I'm most proud of.
Duke Pileggi went 2-for-3, and Reese finished his weekend with another 3-for-3 game and 2 RBI.
Easton Moity started on the mound and gave us 3 innings, followed by Sanders Johnson, who came in and threw 2 scoreless innings to help finish off the championship.
A lot of guys contributed in different ways throughout the weekend.
A great start to the Fall season, and a lot to build on. Proud of these boys and all their hard work so far! 🐾💪
