Walnut Grove PTA is a group of teachers and volunteer parents whose focus is to support the development and education of our students beyond the school curriculum. We support Cultural Arts programs, Reflections and other programs and events throughout the year. We depend not only on parents who volunteer their time, but their financial support as well. Anyone can join PTA...grandparents, friends and community partners... and membership is only $6. Membership can be purchased by completing a membership form and sending cash or check to the school, or online using https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/.

💚🦅 Yesterday was a RAD day at Walnut Grove! 🦅💚

💦 Random Attendance Day! 💦

Our Eagles made a splash as students who attended school got to throw water balloons at the one and only Dr. Fooks! 🎉😂

We’re working to squash chronic absenteeism by celebrating showing up, joining in, and being part of our Eagle family!

Thank you, Dr. Fooks, for making attendance extra fun—and being such a great sport! 💚

When you’re healthy and ready to learn, don’t miss school…you might miss the fun! 🦅✨

💚🦅 THIS is why we do what we do. 🦅💚

As part of our PTA Diversity & Inclusion Committee, one of the special experiences we are proud to provide each year is a petting zoo for our friends in Special Education and our self-contained classrooms. 🐐🐷🐰

We recently received these pictures and this sweet thank-you from one of our favorite teachers, and it absolutely made our day. 💚

Sometimes it’s the quieter moments happening around Walnut Grove that are some of the most meaningful. Giving our students an opportunity to experience, explore, interact and simply have FUN in an environment created especially for them is what inclusion is all about.

A HUGE thank you to our volunteers who came out to help make the day possible and to our incredible teachers and staff who love our Eagles so well every single day.

And to our students — we hope you loved every furry, feathered and four-legged minute! 🐐🐖🦆💚

These are the moments that make our Eagle community so special. 🦅

💚🦅 ONE THING ABOUT WGES PTA… WE LOVE CELEBRATING OUR STAFF! 🦅💚

And today we got to celebrate TWO very special members of our Walnut Grove family — Mrs. Lovell-Lewis and Mrs. Alvarado! 🎉💚

Each year, the PTA has the privilege of decorating the golf cart for Walnut Grove’s Teacher of the Year & Support Person of the Year Parade — and you KNOW we couldn’t send these ladies on their victory lap in just any golf cart! 😂🎈✨

We brought out the balloons, streamers, Eagle pride and, of course, a giant Eagle to help give Mrs. Lovell-Lewis and Mrs. Alvarado the celebration they deserve! 🦅💚

One of our absolute favorite things about being part of the PTA is getting to celebrate the incredible teachers and staff who pour so much love, time and energy into our Eagles every single day.
👏🎉

Congratulations, Mrs. Lovell-Lewis and Mrs. Alvarado! We loved getting to celebrate YOU today!

Here’s to a well-deserved victory lap around Walnut Grove! 🦅💚🎈

We love our WGES staff!
