This weeks meeting was quite exciting, as we got to hear a classification talk from our president elect, Brianna Bowns.

We also heard an update on Patriot Day, which will be Friday, September 11th at Newtown Park! 8:30am-in the amphitheater.

We meet every Monday at noon at Johns Creek Baptist Church in the Heritage room! Come see what Rotary is all about!

Our Rotary day started with a Board Meeting and we were honored to have District Governor, Dr. Paul Matthews join us, as well as, Area Governor, Denise Leeson! This was followed by our weekly meeting where we heard from DG Matthews who challenged us to Create a lasting impact in the new Rotary Year!!

During our meeting, our Public Image team was awarded the EPIC PI Award from our district! Congratulations!!!

We ended our busy day with a service project where we made snack bags for 120 students!!!

The Johns Creek Rotary Club is an incredible organization!!!

Our deepest condolences to the Rotary Club of Monroe on such a tragic loss.

Our hearts are with the Rotary Club of Monroe as they mourn the unexpected passing of their Club President, Matthew Whitley.

Matthew believed Rotary could be so much more than a service organization. He envisioned it as a place where leaders come together to solve the toughest challenges facing their communities. He challenged conventional thinking, encouraged innovation, and inspired others to raise their expectations for what Rotary could accomplish.

In one of his final reflections, Matthew wrote that "leaders need to develop a parallel career to deploy their influence and create real community significance." Those words beautifully capture the legacy he leaves behind. He didn't simply talk about creating a lasting impact. He lived it.

We extend our deepest condolences to Matthew's family, his friends, and every member of the Rotary Club of Monroe. May you find comfort in knowing that his passion, vision, and commitment to service have left an indelible mark on your club and on our Rotary family.

May we honor his memory by continuing to bring together leaders, strengthen our communities, and create the lasting impact he so passionately believed was possible.

Rest in peace, Matthew. Your service above self will continue to inspire us all.
