We are dedicated to providing opportunities for developing an intergenerational legacy between youth and adults, non-discriminate community engagement that promotes the positive impacts and quality of life for all residents of the Leelanau Area. We envision The Center and LIFT as a safe, well supervised center dedicated to providing all local residents with opportunities to experience activities t

hat broaden their knowledge, enhance their self-esteem, promote healthy relationships and strengthen their commitments to our communities. Guided by the leadership of a strong Board of Directors, The Center and LIFT programs focus on encouraging positive behavior choices among youth by channeling them into productive activities under the supervision of caring adults. Additionally, The Center serves senior citizens, families and other community organizations, and offers intergenerational activities to promote more cohesive communities. Our Partner, LIFT (Leelanau Investing For Teens) resides in the lower level and is an after school program on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, for teens in grades 7 through 12.

We're just one week away from our GIGANAMOUS summer kick-off party, as we join forces with the Suttons Bay PTO, Suttons Bay Congregational Church, Suttons Bay - Bingham Fire & Rescue and Leelanau County 4-H to bring you free food and entertainment, games for all ages, fire trucks, a petting zoo, and so much more! Everyone is welcome to join in the fun, don't miss out!

New yoga class coming to the Center! Every Monday beginning June 1, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Class will be led by , who offers this intro:

Hi, I’m Jaymie and am super excited to teach a Deep Release yoga class this summer at the Friendship Community Center! I am a Michigander in my heart and soul and am a lucky woman to call this beautiful state my home. I love to explore nature, swim in our freshwater lakes and read various genres of books.

I am a newly registered yoga teacher and am grateful for the opportunity to bring more yoga into the community! This deep release yoga class is intended to offer restorative healing into the multiple layers of connective tissue that runs all throughout our bodies. Yoga props will be provided so we can get relaxed in the postures and provide accessibility to all! I look forward to meeting you 🙂

Join us Wednesday, February 4th at 6PM for a “tailgate party” themed dinner with everyone’s favorite game day dishes.
