Candice Case, a Child Care Specialist for Child Care Connections in Traverse City, will discuss the economic and social importance of early childhood education and care at the Zonta Clubof Leelanau County monthly meeting. Remind any high school seniors you know that applications are due March 19, 2010 for the $1000 Young Women in Public Affairs 2010 Scholarship. The award is given annually by the local Zonta chapter to a young woman from Leelanau County who displays a stronginterest in public affairs. Thanks to all who help cut out, sew, stuff and delivery Mastectomy pillows to Munson Hospital for breast biopsy and breast cancer patients. Our club delivered 34 pillows delivered to the breast cancer center in January. We also sent a pillow to former member Judith Breen to comfort her following her accident.
