The FFA & 4-H members that competed at the 2026 WV Stockman’s Contest this past Friday dominated the competition.

🥇The Senior 4-H/ FFA Team #1 brought home first place!!! Team members and their individual placings are as follows:

Kalab Wayne - 1st place individual
Mason Wolford - 12th place individual
Colden Chapman - 15th place individual
Skylar Duckworth

🏅Senior 4-H/FFA Team #2 was comprised of

🥇The Junior 4-H/Future Braxton FFA members Team also brought home first place team in their division! Team members included:

This group had a great set of coaches who gave their time to practices through the week and on weekends.

These kids were truly so dedicated to preparing for this contest, and we are so proud of their work ethic. If you know one these kids, go tell them that you’re proud of them. This a beast of a contest in terms of size, length and depth of knowledge and each of them represented Braxton County very well.

Don’t forget!
Strawberries will be delivered tomorrow and can be picked up at Braxton County High School from 1:30 - 5:30 tomorrow or 8 am - 4 pm on Friday!
There will be extra flats available on a first come, first serve basis.
ALL orders will need to be picked up by Friday!

Welcome, friends new and old, of Braxton in Bloom. The Braxton County High School Greenhouse and Floral Design Program has undergone a bit of rebranding.
Following this new page will give you updates on when floral arrangements can be purchased, dates and times of the Greenhouse opening, and so so much more.

Braxton in Bloom (formerly Braxton Flower Patch Kids) is the Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources simulated workplace of Braxton CTE. Our students are currently operating both our greenhouse and a floral shop at BCHS.

We are so excited to be able to provide our community with beautiful, student-made and designed floral arrangements, fruit and vegetable plants, annuals, and hanging baskets.

Our first floral arrangements of the year will be posted for pre-order very soon, so watch out for that post. Our students are also hard at work seeding and transplanting in the greenhouse at this time, see you in May at our grand opening!
