Local Funds for Local Cancer Needs

STARS has a local office with a caring staff to answer questions about local and regional services available to cancer patients and survivors -- from where to find a wig when they are going through chemotherapy, to what support is available locally for patients and survivors. STARS also oversees cancer patient transportation providing FREE rides to radiation and chemotherapy treatments in San Joaquin, Sacramento, El Dorado, Calaveras and Amador Counties. STARS has been instrumental in the return of full-time oncology services to Amador County.

All money raised by STARS stays in Amador County for local cancer needs, except for a portion that is donated to cancer research. STARS is proud to help meet local cancer needs AND assist in the search for a cure.
