See the attached flyers about our partnership with First 5 Amador and how we coordinated with other local agencies to provide child and adult “emergency go-bags”.

This “emergency go-bag” project was made possible by a $500 grant our club received from the California Lions Foundation.

HOW BLOOD HELPS PATIENTS – Red blood cells deliver oxygen throughout the body and help remove carbon dioxide. Platelets form blood clots and prevent bleeding. Plasma carries cells in the bloodstream the body needs to function normally. One donor can help 2 or more patients. Red blood cells can help reduce blood lost in a car accident, platelets can help cancer patients who can’t make their own, and plasma can help replace fluids and proteins after suffering from a burn.
