BSA Scout Troop 81 - Susquehanna, PA, USA

Every May, just before Memorial Day Weekend, our Boy Scouts are joined by our Cub Scouts of Pack 81 to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. This year we had an amazing turnout to replace the American flags at our Veterans' graves at Saint Johns Cemetery in Susquehanna, PA and Lanesboro Cemetery in Lanesboro, PA. 🇺🇲

Thank you to the Cub Scouts of Pack 81 and Boy Scouts of Troop 81, along with their families', for participating in this long-honored tradition. ⚜️

The scouts installed a new picnic table on the D&H rail trail tonight. Tough digging but great job!!

Troop 81 did a few hours of community service tonight at the Lanesboro Cemetery. Cleaning up leaves and cutting vines from the fence. A scout is helpful! Giving a little back to the community that helps support the troop so much!!

Thanks to all the scouts and parents that helped with this project! Great job!!

Another great outing with Scout Troop 81! To State College for the Blue/White Game!! We stayed in a cool hunting cabin, did some tailgating, caught the game, stopped at the Creamery and then some more tailgating. The weather started out a little rainy, but it cleared up to a nice day!

Troop 81 had a great time backpacking at camp Tuscarora! FIre starting, foil meals, learning about different types of camp stoves, eating MREs, working on some camping skills. Scout skills/life skills!!

Great day for a snowshoe hike at camp Tuscarora! Then back to the nature lodge for some grilled cheese and tomato soup!

October 22: Camping and visiting a haunted house or hayride (more to discuss)

November 5: Lumberjack Day at Camp Tuscarora (Need to decide on camping)

December 10: Bus day trip to NYC (need to discuss agenda)

January 28: Winter Camporee at Camp Tuscarora

February 11: Ski trip to Greek Peak (Need to discuss overnight accommodations)

March 25: Overnight on Battleship NJ (possibly visit Franklin Museum)

April 22: Backpacking trip (Trail TBD)

May 6: Knoebels Scout Day

May 17: Float trip (River TBD)

June 3: Gopher Day at Camp Tuscarora

June 16: Campout at Promised Land State Park

July: Summer Camp

August: Trip to Guppy Gulch water park
