Flags for Flag Day June 15, 1977 Tyson Harrell, Lions Club President, and Marion Beard are pictured placing American flags in front of Main Street businesses in honor of Flag Day, Tuesday, June 14. The flags are placed in front of donating businesses on nine holidays per year with the donations going towards Lions site conservation projects. The Lions have reported many positive comments from local residents and tourists on the attractiveness of the flag decorated streets. (Advocate photo).
