Surry County VA SPCA The Surry County SPCA is a non-profit, all volunteer organization whose goal is to improve the lives of the animals in our community.

We are a small organization of volunteers- We do not operate a shelter, but we do have a foster program where adoptable animals are kept in volunteers' homes until adoption. We also assist with spay/neuter of owned and feral animals in the area. The Surry SPCA purchases Kind News for Surry County Public Schools K-6 as well as Tidewater Academy. This magazine encourages good character development a

nd emphasizes kindness to animals, respect for natural habitats, good citizenship and peaceful conflict resolution.

Everyone it saddens my heart but after 30 years we are closing down the Surry County VA SPCA.
We recently lost our president whom passed of cancer.
We just don't have the members and volunteers to keep running.
