Thank you to the nearly 60 Roadside Cleanup volunteers! Surry is starting to look beautiful with flowers blooming, tree leaves beginning to appear, and bags and bags of trash no longer littering large stretches of our roadsides.

Special thanks to Doug Havey for grilling hotdogs for our picnic and to Pugnuts for the coupons for the volunteers!

Please continue to keep Surry clean and PLEASE DO NOT LITTER!!!

Reminder to High School Seniors from Surry who are continuing their education: The deadline for applications for the SCIA Patty Fitch Memorial Scholarship is April 30th. Please check with your high school counselor for an application or text 812 454-3070.

SCIA ROADSIDE CLEANUP will be held on Saturday, May 2nd! Meet at the Surry School at 9 am to sign in and pick up grabbers, vests, and trash bags. Return at 11:30 am for the hotdog picnic!
We still need volunteers for sections of all the major Surry roads and volunteer truck drivers to take the trash to the transfer station. Please text Cathy Engel with the road section you will help clean up at 812 454-3070. Thank you for helping keep Surry beautiful!

Regrettably, our Annual Chowder & Cookie Fest has been cancelled this year due to sickness and low participation. We hope to continue this tradition in the future.
