๐ Double Heroic Stops on Loop 303: Law Enforcement Putting Lives on the Line to Protect Us! ๐
First, a massive shoutout to our unnamed Maricopa County Sheriff's Deputy, a PROUD MEMBER of the Fraternal Order of Police, Maricopa Lodge 5! Early Monday morning (12/01/2025) around 12:30 a.m., this dedicated Deputy was patrolling northbound on Loop 303 near Bell Road in Surprise, Arizona when he intentionally struck his vehicle with a wrong-way driver speeding southbound in the northbound lanes. With quick action, he was able to stop the threat, suffering NO injuries himself or the other driver.
The driver appeared to be impaired and was processed for DUI ๐
And... just the next day, another hero, an Arizona State Trooper stepped up:
The Trooper while in Peoria used his vehicle to stop a wrong-way driver also on the Loop 303 around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday (12/02/2025). The Trooper was Responding to multiple emergency calls about a vehicle headed eastbound in the westbound lanes near Lake Pleasant Parkway, the trooper also intentionally intervened safely, avoiding injury himself. The driver, suspected of impairment, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, and the incident is under investigation.
These incidents highlight a growing danger: Wrong-way drivers are occurring more and more, especially near the holidays, putting unsuspecting motorists at risk. Our law enforcement officers are placing themselves in LIFE-THREATENING positions every day to stop these reckless drivers before they cause a fatal collision.
We're forever grateful for their bravery and sacrifice! Stay vigilant on the roads, drive safe and report suspicious behavior. ๐
