📣 HI FOLKS — LONG POST, STICK WITH ME… ❤️

First, the bad news…

We are CLOSED TODAY — Saturday, August 29. 😞

If you’ve seen me hobbling around on crutches this week, you already know I managed to really mess up my knee. Apparently, I’ve decided that walking normally is overrated. 🤦‍♂️😂

It’s looking like surgery is probably in my future, so while closing today is definitely NOT ideal timing, this extra day off my knee will be a very welcomed break before we head into the busy holiday weekend.

And honestly, I need to take a minute to say THANK YOU. ❤️

The outpouring of help this week has been pretty incredible.

To every person who:
❤️ Pitched in to help us keep the place open
❤️ Offered to help
❤️ Showed up and jumped in
❤️ Helped lighten Angie’s load
❤️ Checked in on us
❤️ Listened to me complain… 😂
❤️ Or simply sent a message to see how we were doing

You have no idea how much it means to us.

Running a little place in the Northwoods takes a village on a GOOD day. Throw in a busted-up knee, crutches, and Jeff being Jeff… and apparently we found out just how awesome our village really is. ❤️

We are incredibly lucky to have the people we have around us, and we are so damn happy to be a part of this community.

That said: We’ll be back at it next weekend!

And some are seasoned veterans who probably remember where we keep everything better than we do. 😂

They are all great people who are helping us out because they’re awesome.

So if your drink takes an extra minute and the bartender has to ask where something is, or Angie’s kitchen skills are a little different…

BE NICE. 😂❤️

We’re all just doing our best to keep the place rolling.

Once again, THANK YOU to everyone who has helped, encouraged, checked in, or simply given us a little grace this week.

Next weekend we would love your support a couple hours! This meat raffle helps fund at least half of our annual kids Halloween party to keep it free for families along with a number of other kids activities and of course the Chute Pond Snowmobile Club. We appreciate their support heading this fundraiser up for the kids and their club. Pulled pork sandwich plates will also be served for the cause. Madame.
