As additional precipitation spreads across the area this
afternoon and evening, periods of snow may mix with rain, or
transition to primarily snow, at times. Some locations may see a
dusting to one-half inch of snow primarily on grassy or elevated
surfaces. Minimal travel impacts are expected outside of reduced
visibilities under the heaviest precipitation. For tonight into
Tuesday morning, there is potential for residual moisture on area
roadways to freeze into black ice and result in slick spots. Take
caution on your morning commutes.

Hey Friend! Pull up a chair for a sec, and let’s chat. Back in the summer of 2022, we took a chance on a country store with a legacy stretching back longer than most folks have been alive. It was already a special place, and we just knew she had more to give our wonderful community. We took the plunge and spent the next 6 months renovating and reviving inside and out. And the good people of Mohawk (and beyond!) have continued to support and sustain us. It has been an incredible journey, but as life has a way of doing, we find ourselves in a much different place than we were in 3 years ago. Families have grown, responsibilities increased, and time stretched thinner than ever. And we realize it’s time to pass this treasure on to her next owner. But let’s be clear…
1. The doors are open, and we’re doing business as usual.
2. Our wonderful staff is here to provide you with great food and service in the interim.

So, if you’ve ever wanted to chase the dream of small business ownership, love building relationships and community, and could see yourself running a little country store that’s been in continuous operation since 1949, let’s talk! We would just like to let everyone know the the Hawkins County Cancer Support meeting for tonight is cancelled for this month due to sickness. We will meet again in February.
