South Strand Lions Club

South Strand Lions Club The South Strand Lions Club was chartered on March 19, 1984. In the early 2000’s the club was nearly dissolved due to the loss of all but 3 members.

We serve through vision screenings, hunger relief, diabetes awareness, youth scholarships, mentoring, community clean-ups, annual fundraisers like fish fries and craft fairs, and weekend food programs that support students in need. Thanks to the energies of PDG Brian P’Poole and the late Dick Cruse the club was revived and membership grew over the next 13 years. The club now has 25 members
