Topsail Area Running Club: A social running club uniting and encouraging runners of all paces and abilities living in the Topsail area.

Meets weekly at various locations on the Island. Please join our TARC group page for info on meet ups! The Topsail Area Running Club (T.A.R.C.) is a free social running club for runners of all ages, paces, and goals. Following the run, we will enjoy a post-run social together at some of our local tap rooms and eateries within walking distance. Please remember to wear reflective gear (vests/belts),

bright colors, flashing clip on lights, etc. We will be running along the road and we want to be sure all are seen and safe. The Topsail Area Running Club was created to connect and encourage area runners. Whatever your running goals are, whatever your training plan calls for, join us! Some may run daily, some may run occasionally, some may run long, some may dread the thought of running long... you're all welcome!

Yesterday’s group run was spent on the trails at for the 50K! We love this event and this running community, always a good time! We hope all have a happy rest day, you deserve it! 💪

Sunday’s 23 mile Bridge to Bridge run - we forgot to post our annual run picture with the ‘Welcome to North Topsail” sign 😁 so here it is! 😆✌️

Say goodbye to 2023 with a 23 mile run with us this on Sunday, December 31st!
We are going to start at the Daily Grind at 5:00 AM on the Island and run over the Surf City Bridge then head to the Sneads Ferry Bridge and back to Daily Grind!

We will have a small water/nutrition stop along the way at Beach Bum's Pizza Bar & Grill and treats at the end at the Daily Grind!

***Wanted to add that last year we had some join us along the way who did not want to run the entire 23 miles and that is definitely an option. You can meet us anywhere along the run and join in!

Our Story

The Topsail Area Running Club (T.A.R.C.) is a free social running club for runners of all ages, paces, and goals. We meet Tuesdays from March - November at 6:30pm from the Salty Turtle Beer Company in Surf City, NC. Following the run, we will enjoy a post-run social together at some of our local tap rooms and eateries within walking distance.

Please remember to wear reflective gear (vests/belts), bright colors, flashing clip on lights, etc. We will be running along the road and we want to be sure all are seen and safe. The Topsail Area Running Club was created to connect and encourage area runners.
