Resharing this to assist with further explanation for those who may not know ...
They are saying IF you have to go out , drive as close to the middle of the road as possible, as the shoulders pitch down and have deeper water than what's in the middle of the road where it's a bit higher...
Again big if and not really necessary for people to be driving... Central and Barnegat aves are closed for North / south traffic... Only the Blvd is open but still take into consideration that there is a ton of standing water in a lot of places and has been, in some places for over a day in some places it's been there for over 2 days... So things are soft and soggy and peoples properties are still susceptible to damage . And also to clarify, just because these roads are open / not being blocked by military vehicles at this time, doesn't mean they are dry.

Hope this helps clarify to anyone who isn't familiar with the roads // the wording 😊

I'm not saying I'm an expert I'm just trying to help assist/ explain to anyone who might be looking for information.

And while I'm at it, please remember that a lot of our first responders are volunteers.

Since I'm in the background of some *storm chaser's* dramatic video & pictures they posted about Ship Bottom... I'll clarify what they are posting is extremely misleading and over dramatic to say the least 🤷🏼‍♀️. While we appreciate people's concerns, so far nothing happening on Long Beach Island is any different from what we expect and is normal for storms in this area.

No one is being evacuated, yes the last few blocks of central in Ship Bottom flood all the time during storms or anytime the bay is angry, yes those 3 blocks are literally water front property, yes anyone who is ever in this area knows that 😂.

So here's a glimpse into our little slice of paradise, life on a sandbar, from my perspective today. And the pictures where you can see the street were taken at the exact same time as the ones in the posts I'm referring to (if you zoom in you can actually see the people walking and his car) .

And yes I was completely dry and taking a normal walk in the area 😂.

As for the rainbow, well If you know me you know my obsession with rainbows and hope 🩵🌈.

Mystery bag week one led to ALL OF THIS going to St. Francis Community Center school supply drive. Tomorrow is THE LAST Surf City Farmers Market at Surf City Volunteer Fire Company firehouse.
Support charity, support me, support small business... Or not 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Either way, Monday is the last day of August and the last farmers market of the summer?!?!?! How did that happen already???😭🥹😭🥹😭

Market money = donated to St. Francis of Assisi Parish , Brave Like Gabe and other good causes... Bottom line, when you buy from me, you're giving back to the community because I don't keep the profits
