While schools are still closed in Uganda, we remain hopeful that Covid cases will continue to decline and students will be back safely soon. Lack of electricity makes remote learning difficult, but staff has been trying to provide school lessons to students as much as possible.

We are happy to report that despite all of the challenges this past year has brought, 27 out of 28 of our seventh graders passed the Ugandan national exam, including almost half of the students receiving the highest grade possible. We are incredibly proud of the students for these results and know they have bright futures ahead.

We are saddened to say that covid cases in Uganda have increased recently, and the country has directed the closing of schools again for the near future. We hope everyone stays safe and that things will improve in the coming weeks and months. It has been a difficult year, but we know that this community is resilient and we look forward to all of our students safely returning soon.

One of the best ways to support us during this holiday season is to sponsor one of our students in Uganda. For as little as $10 a month, you can partner with a student and invest in their education and future. While the pandemic has made its impact in Uganda in many ways, we are hopeful that things will continue to improve in the coming year. For more information, please visit our website -

With the holiday season in full swing, and with Giving Tuesday coming up tomorrow, we hope you would consider partnering with us as we help to provide education and investment to rural Uganda. We know money is tight and that there are a lot of great nonprofits out there to support, but if you have a heart for international development, we would be thrilled to have your support. Please visit our website for more information on how you can partner with a student.
