The Douglas County 4-H Awards and Scholarship Applications are open!
It’s time to celebrate all the hard work 4-H members put it over this year!

The 4-H Member Awards and Scholarships application process is for youth interested in receiving scholarships to attend 4-H educational experiences (trips), open to youth in 7th-12th grade this fall.

The 4-H Project Based Awards are for youth seeking recognition for their hard work on 4-H projects and fair participation and are now open to youth in 5th grade this fall!

Both applications are due by September 7, 2026.

Douglas County 4-H Leaders Association has many scholarships available to help keep costs low for families and truly make these experiences available for all. Watch for scholarship applications opening soon, or reach out to the Douglas County Extension office for more information

4-H families, congratulations on surviving the 2026 fair! Tomorrow (Sunday) take a break from barn cleaning and picking up exhibits for a pancake breakfast! This is free, thanks to a generous family and Kwik Trip!

It’s the last day of the Head of the Lakes Fair! Be sure to check out 4-H youth building to see all the projects 4-H members entered! And stop by the horse barn and livestock barn to see members with their animals! 4-H members put in a lot of hard work, and are proud to show it off!

The 4-H Dairy Bar is open and 4-H members are taking orders for hand spun ice cream shakes!

Saturday: 4:30-7:30pm

Tomorrow (Wednesday) come check out the 4-H members that will be showing their livestock at the fair!

Or come check out the non-animal projects such as cultural arts, photography and woodworking in the 4-H youth building!
