🍀 Mark your calendars! Next week is National 4-H Week! This year, we’ll come together as a system to recognize National 4-H Week and the Beyond Ready initiative on two celebratory days.

💚 Day 1: Go Green
🗓️ Monday, October 5, 2026
On Monday of National 4-H Week, Go GREEN and show your 4-H state spirit! A simple, cohesive way for youth, professionals, volunteers, alumni & supporters across the country to celebrate their 4-H program being Beyond Ready. Wear a green hat, clothing, face paint - anything green goes. Let's paint the nation GREEN, on Monday, October 5th!
Share your Go Green moment on social and tag National 4-H, your State 4-H program, and use

🗓️ Thursday, October 8, 2026
On Thursday of National 4-H Week, help us shine a light on all the good that 4-H does! A day to recognize all 4-H'ers who are doing good and making positive impact by helping their communities and beyond.

‼️🎁 Make sure to tag Wisconsin 4-H in your photos! Three posts from both Day 1 (Oct 5) and Day 2 (Oct 8 ) who tag Wisconsin 4-H will be randomly selected to receive a 4-H prize item!

🍀 Apply to the Wisconsin 4-H Ambassador Teams!

Ambassadors get unique opportunities to represent Wisconsin 4-H, develop leadership skills, and contribute to statewide programming. Beginning October 1st, youth in grades 9-12 can apply to join the Arts, Leadership, Agriculture, or NEW Outdoor Ambassadors.

Just a reminder to get your completed awards forms sent in to the office. We are extending the deadline to Tuesday, September 8 due to Labor Day.

Douglas and Burnett County 4-H youth survived the Outpost Camp!

Highlights include sleeping in rustic treehouse cabins, cooking all meals over the campfire, lots of s’mores, group games, arts and crafts including leather crafting, leadership and team building activities, fire starting, STEM projects, a pontoon boat ride, swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding and some youth slept under the stars on the treehouse decks!

Funding provided by the following organizations was used to offer camp scholarships and purchase supplies: Head of the Lakes United Way, City of Superior Parks and Recreation Grant, and Great Northern Classic Rodeo.

The Douglas County 4-H Awards and Scholarship Applications are open!
It’s time to celebrate all the hard work 4-H members put it over this year!

The 4-H Member Awards and Scholarships application process is for youth interested in receiving scholarships to attend 4-H educational experiences (trips), open to youth in 7th-12th grade this fall.

The 4-H Project Based Awards are for youth seeking recognition for their hard work on 4-H projects and fair participation and are now open to youth in 5th grade this fall!

Both applications are due by September 7, 2026.
