Some have commented that Route 228 is "the bus that no one rides." However, Route 228 was only recently revised to serve Downtown Superior and the US 36/McCaslin Park-and-Ride, meaning there has been limited time to fully evaluate the impact of these improvements.
It's also important to recognize that Downtown Superior has added many new businesses, residents, and community amenities in recent years. Transit isn't just about today's ridership numbers—it's about providing access for employees, customers, seniors, and residents while supporting future growth.
As Downtown Superior continues to develop, maintaining transit service becomes even more important. Before eliminating Superior's only RTD route, we should allow adequate time to measure the success of these recent investments and explore opportunities to increase ridership and awareness.

RTD is considering eliminating Route 228, Superior's only local bus route, which connects residents to:
• Downtown Superior
• U.S. 36 & McCaslin Park-n-Ride
• Local neighborhoods
• Flatiron Crossing, Louisville, and Lafayette
• Regional transit connections
RTD's decision is expected in July. Whether you ride Route 228 every day, use it occasionally or simply believe Superior should continue to have neighborhood bus service, your feedback can help inform RTD's decision.
