Only two more days to see Leon Syfrit’s Art in Action! This is a free open studio visit where you can pop in anytime today between 8am and 12pm, and tomorrow same time!

Leon has been working on a series he calls “Portraits in ICE-olation” where he prints a photographic portrait on paper that he stains with paint and botanicals, and freezes it all in water with plants and other substances. The resulting image is a fusion of the original portrait photograph, the materials arranged with the print, and the unique impression created by the natural process of water freezing.

He has photographed members of the community, and is just about finished with the collages. See you soon!

Our latest month-long ceramics course starts today at 3-5pm!

Join us for a hands-on experience in pottery wheel throwing! This class is designed for ceramicists ready to level up beyond the beginner level! If you are able to confidently center your clay and make a basic cylinder shape, this class is for you! In this lesson, you will receive personalized instruction with our experienced teacher in this intimate class of 3 students.

What to Expect
-Refresher on pottery tools and materials
-Step-by-step guidance on intermediate wheel throwing techniques
-Personalized feedback to help you improve
-Opportunity to create your own pottery pieces

What to Bring:
You do not need to bring any tools with you, but clay will be purchased separately. We have clay available for sale, most students should expect to use $10 worth during this class, if you intend to challenge yourself to throw larger.

If you are interested in continuing your pottery practice, you can also sign up for our monthly membership to have access to open studio hours with minimal guidance or supervision, as well as free classes and lessons!

Let's get ready for the pottery olympics! We will be hosting a ceramics event on June 27th where you can sign up to participate in various pottery challenges for a chance to win a prize! More info soon!
