Community Foundation Boulder County Wildfire Fund Launches Recovery Support Program for Marshall Fire Survivors. The program consolidates the previously established Unmet Needs, Housing Support, and Rebuild Grant programs into a single, streamlined source of support.

The creation of the Recovery Support Program reflects a continued commitment to meeting Marshall Fire Survivors where they are in their long-term recovery process and ensures that financial assistance remains accessible, responsive, and simple to navigate four years into the community’s recovery. This program will offer support through the summer of 2027 or until funding is no longer available.

Under the unified program structure, eligible applicants may seek assistance in the following areas:

• Housing Support, including rental or mortgage assistance for displaced households

• Unmet Needs, such as essential household expenses, healthcare, transportation and basic necessities

• Property Restoration Support for smoke- and ash-affected homes

The Recovery Support Program application portal will open Feb. 1, 2026.

Sharing from Mountain View Fire Rescue: Our friends at NWS Boulder have issued a Red Flag Warning for today. It was initially supposed to be a Fire Weather Watch, but changing conditions led to an upgrade overnight.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 8AM until 5PM for the Boulder County and Jefferson County portions of our district. Increasingly gusty winds and low relative humidity will combine to create critical fire weather conditions from late this morning through most of the afternoon.
Winds should calm down around sunset.

Safety Tips:
• Avoid any activity that may produce a spark
• No burning outdoors
