We are gathering together once again to celebrate our community and honor our Town of Superior. It is time to uplift our spirits with a food and music!

Many, many thanks are to be given to the hundreds of people who offered a helping hand after the Marshall Fire. From delivering food, gathering clothing and household items, to helping with the endless details of life after a major fire, our Town has met the challenge with strength in numbers, with each person going above and beyond anyone’s expectations. This event is open to all and a great opportunity to recognize someone who has helped your family through our recovery process. We still have a long way to go but let's gather as a community to keep resilience alive.

Let’s take time to celebrate those people who make Superior Strong.

Impact on Education is providing funding to BVSD to meet the continuing needs of families that were impacted and continue to be impacted by the Marshall Fire.

Each family impacted by the Marshall Fire (regardless of whether or not they qualify for McKinney-Vento benefits or Free & Reduced Lunch) is able to request funding to provide free school meals, transportation expenses to/from school, free 1:1 virtual tutoring and after school care.

BVSD put together a questionnaire to help better understand what supports students need at this time.

You can use the QR code or go to this link to complete the form.

Hi Community Neighbors, Here is a way to directly help those with devastated or damage homes from the Marshall Fire. The Giving Tree is located at the Community Center.

Marshall Fire Families needing extra help during the holiday season are encourage to fill out the form to be put on the list to receive needed items.

While a giving tree can be targeted towards children or the elderly, we know there may be so many that are missing a special something, or a basic need, this season. As such, we would like to encourage ANYONE to make a request if you have a need. We know there are so many that lost so much in the past year. We are all one community and we want to support those with a need by connecting them with those that are able to give.

Superior Rising is seeking storytellers for our commemoration event on December 30th. Directly after the solidarity breakfast hosted by the Town of Superior (7-11 AM), storytellers will have a chance to share their story to commemorate the anniversary of the Marshall Fire (11AM to 1 PM).

Colorado Public Radio (CPR) will be supporting the event and SR considers this a pointed time to share with friends and neighbors about something meaningful to you in this recovery process. This can look many different ways and will be captured by CPR for our community in this commemorative moment.

Please contact Jenn Kaaoush ([email protected]) if you are interested in sharing a story. CPR has also offered their time and services for those who wish to have support in curating their 6-8 minute story.

Additionally, there will be options for the private sharing of stories in designated community rooms.
