Sgt. Steven Negron has faced many battles in his life. As a Law Enforcement Officer, he took an oath to serve and protect, dedicating the majority of his adult life to that promise. As the Sunrise FOP Lodge 80 President, Sgt. Negron has fought to protect the rights of his members, made it his mission to negotiate a better way of life for them, and has led them fearlessly for many years. As a friend, Steve is always the first one to offer support and brotherhood.

Now, Steve faces his newest battle: laryngeal cancer. This diagnosis will require surgery to remove his larynx and will force an early retirement next year. Please consider showing your support:

Today, we stand united in remembrance, reaffirming our commitment to the values of freedom, unity, and compassion that define our nation. Let us never forget the sacrifices made and continue to strive for a more peaceful and just world.

Today, we remember and honor the 13 brave service members who lost their lives in the tragic event at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan on August 26, 2021. May their sacrifice never be forgotten, and may we continue to support our veterans and their families.

As National Police Week comes to a close, we honor the ultimate sacrifice made by our brothers and sisters in blue. Our Sunrise Police family showed their dedication and respect in two meaningful ways: some attended the solemn vigil in Washington DC, while others gathered locally for an appreciation event at the department, enjoying good food and camaraderie.
