Nimitz Elementary PTA is in Sunnyvale, CA where we support staff and students to educate the whole child by focusing on literacy, joy for life long learning, social-emotional learning, mutual respect for diversity, and active parent involvement. About This Cause
The Nimitz PTA serves the students and staff at our Title 1 school by providing all of the funding for our school wide
art program, allowing students to have access to art classes throughout the school year. We also fund and run during and after school events such as a pumpkin patch for all students, a pumpkin decorating contest, science and math nights, school wide assemblies, movie events for our students, and more. We also build our community by hosting events such as a Harvest Festival, our annual Scholastic Book Fair, Walk-a-thon Fundraiser and Carnival, and our amazing Multicultural Festival where have our diverse community of families to teach us about one of our 35+ nationalities and cultures. All of this "good" is only possible with the support of our wonderful community. We truly appreciate all of the families that are able to volunteer and/or donate to the fundraising efforts of our Walk-a-thon, Direct Donation Campaign, and of course the generous matching of our corporate sponsors through employee donation matching!
