Helping Hands Silicon Valley is a Sunnyvale-based volunteer organization serving the unhoused and low income communities in Silicon Valley since 2020. Our Mission is:
To harness the power of the community to provide aid to those who are in need. We serve with love and compassion and above all dignity. The current efforts of HHSV are to:
1. Provide meals for the unhoused in Sunnyvale.
2. Provide o

ther essentials for daily survival of the unhoused.
3. Connect the unhoused with resources for long-term assistance.
4. Provide awareness about Covid-vaccine and relief related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Ways to Participate:
1. Provide food-Fresh meals, healthy snacks, fruits, water.
2. Provide hygiene items-Buy from our Wishlist, host a hygiene drive.
3. Provide socks, other clothing, shoes- Buy from our Wishlist, host a clothing drive.
4. Help deliver food and supplies.
5. Help with organizational tasks.

A big thank you to Giving Spoon for generously donating 500 snack packs last week for our neighbors.

These snack packs provide convenient, non-perishable food and essentials that ensure members of our community have something nutritious to eat when there is no fresh meal available.

You can make a difference too! Gather your team, organize a snack pack drive, and come together to pack essential food items for community members in need.

We are honored to receive an URGJENT grant from Supervisor Otto Lee's office in support of our Respite Motel Program.

Through this program, we provide short-term motel stays for clients facing urgent circumstances, including during inclement weather, for medical reasons, for individuals starting new jobs, families with young children, seniors with health issues, and others in immediate need of a place to stay.

These respite stays offer clients the chance to rest, recover, and regain stability during times of crisis, allowing them to refocus on their next steps.

Thank you, Supervisor Otto Lee and your office, for investing in programs that provide dignity, stability, and hope to our community.

Your kindness allows us to provide food, hygiene supplies, and other essential resources to neighbors facing housing instability and homelessness. Together, we are helping our neighbors access the resources they need while building a stronger foundation for long-term stability.

We are grateful to the Sunnyvale Rotary and Christie's International Real Estate Sereno for their generous grants in support of our mission.

At a time when changes to CalFresh eligibility are making it harder for some individuals and families to access food assistance, the need for community support continues to grow. These grants will help us provide food, hygiene supplies, and other essential resources to neighbors facing housing instability and homelessness.

Thank you for helping us ensure that no one in our community is left without support during a time of increasing need.

A big thank you to our friend R**t for donating and distributing hygiene kits to our clients this past Saturday.

R**t has started a group called Essentials, which focuses on providing essential items to neighbors in need. Through her efforts, she is helping the people we serve maintain their health, dignity, and confidence. Her initiative also leads to other students being involved, raising awareness and empathy.

Moments like this remind us that everyone has the power to make a difference. We are always accepting donations of essential items, and every contribution helps us better serve our community.
