We got several hundred punctured bike tubes from Live in Peace Bike Shop, Bicycle Outfitter, Sports Basement,and Walt's Cycle. 15 volunteers became expert tube patchers and fixed about 100 of them. We packed up what could not be fixed or what we did not have time to fix to send to Schwalbe's tube recycling program (they pay for shipping) -- see https://www.schwalbe.com/en/schwalbe-recycling/

Special thanks to Walt's Cycle for being the local Schwalbe dealer that ships the tubes back to them and to Sports Basement for providing space to hold our tube patching event.

The fixed tubes are given away to those in need, used at the Bike Sunnyvale monthly repair clinic at the Sunnyvale Public Library, or donated to Live in Peace Bike Shop.

This is a recent free film well worth watching to understand how walking and biking can make our cities much safer, friendlier, and more livable -- freeing up public space so more people, especially children, can grow up and be healthy. Yes Sunnyvale can do this too and we have far better weather than these other leading cities!

We had an awesome Holiday Lights Ride last night around Sunnyvale's wonderful Snail neighborhood. Great community spirit there! So many lights on bikes and on houses. It was dry and incredibly WARM!!! Wow!

Helsinki has achieved a remarkable milestone by recording zero road crash fatalities in the past year. The city’s success is credited to strict speed limits, safer street designs, and improved infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists.
