We can't scream this loud enough! Join us at our Open House on 4/30/22 1-3PM to learn more about what we're doing to help solve these problems in MA.

Child care and home health care workers, and care work as a whole, are deeply undervalued and underpaid, in part because of historical racism, sexism, and xenophobia that persist today. Wages: On average, child care workers in the U.S. are paid $13.51/hour and home health care workers are paid $13.8...

We were in the The Greenfield Recorder today! A great article about our Giving Back Massage Therapy program for Caregivers and the wider community. We practice safe covid precautions at our massage space and ask that all clients be vaccinated. Its been a cold few weeks and your body could probably benefit from some massage!

SUNDERLAND — After the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted The Care Collaborative’s newly launched massage program for in-home health aides, the organization is now relaunching the program in its new space in Sunderland. The Giving Back Massage Therapies...

Now, more than ever, we need to support our direct care workforce!

Read this important article from The Recorder to learn more about what LifePath and home health agencies in Greenfield are doing to combat this worker shortage crisis.

The home health aide shortage that’s existed for many years has only been exacerbated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, according to heads of local social service agencies.“We serve over 1,000 customers in our home care programs, and of those, about...

In June we rented and renovated our new classroom and office space in Sunderland, MA (also the home of our massage program!). For 15 years we operated our Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide certification training program at Greenfield Community College. We are excited for our future students to have the same educational experience, but with some more flexibility and options, all in our new classroom.

However, this change of location requires that we re-apply to the state for licensing to run our classes. And due to the pandemic, everything is taking significantly longer than we expected. We submitted our application months ago and are still waiting to hear back. We had hoped to be welcoming our first cohort of students this past Fall 2021, but it’s looking like we won’t be able to run our first class until Spring 2022. Please stay tuned for more information about when classes will begin.

The additional cost of our new space combined with this delay in being able to start classes is causing some financial stress on the organization. We are starting to think about doing some fundraising efforts. Do you know anyone or have any ideas? Please let us know! And your support is always felt when you continue to shop at Giving Circle.
