Big Walnut Historical Society Meeting of the BWAHS are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the Myers Inn Mus In 1978, the property was donated by Mr.

Founded in 1993, the BWAHS owns and operates the Myers Inn Museum in Sunbury, an 1800's era stage coach inn. Enclosed in the structure is the first one room house of Lawrence Myers which may date to 1816 (when he co-founded Sunbury) and the two story stage coach in built by Myers in 1820. Both frame structures were into this large building in the 1870's. The property was purchased by Hosea Hopkins

at the turn of the century and became a boarding house and later an apartment building. Harold McMillan to the Community Library which used the facility until it was transferred to BWAHS. After extensive renovations the building was opened to the public as a museum in 2008.
