🎨 Lions International Peace Poster Contest! 🕊️

The Sunbury Lions Club is excited to sponsor the 2026–2027 Peace Poster Contest for Big Walnut 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students!

This year’s theme is “Harmony in Humanity.” Students ages 11–13 are encouraged to use their creativity to show what peace means to them and join more than 600,000 children around the world in sharing their visions of peace. 🌎❤️

🏆 The International Grand Prize Winner will receive $5,000, and 23 Merit Award Winners will each receive $500!

We can’t wait to see the creativity of our Big Walnut students! 🎨🕊️

As we remember the incredible life and legacy of Dolly Parton, we also remember her dedication to serving others.

The Sevier County Lions Club had the honor of recognizing Dolly as a Melvin Jones Fellow, one of the highest honors in Lionism. This recognition celebrated her outstanding humanitarian service and the lasting impact she made through the Imagination Library and countless other acts of generosity.

Her kindness, compassion, and commitment to helping others touched countless lives and will continue to inspire generations to come.

The Lions community joins so many others in remembering and honoring her remarkable legacy. 🦁💙

The Sunbury Lions Club was proud to participate in this year’s Fourth of July Parade! 🇺🇸

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with our community. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces along the parade route and be part of such a great tradition.

Yesterday, we took time to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day — honoring and remembering the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country. 🇺🇸

Members of the Lions Club were honored to attend this year’s Memorial Day service alongside veterans, Scouts, Big Walnut band, and community members. Thank you to everyone who came together to remember and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
