💙 Still thinking about what a wonderful evening it was!

A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated the opening of our new Wellness Hub in Sunbury with an open house and ribbon cutting. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, tour the new space and learn more about the work happening through Susquehanna Valley United Way.

A special thank-you to the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce for helping us mark this exciting milestone!

Located at our office in Sunbury, The Wellness Hub offers a welcoming space to connect, find resources and build community. This month’s calendar includes peer support, meditation, NA meetings, creative activities, discussions, self-care and more!

Our Diaper Dash is off to a strong start thanks to one of our amazing partners, Weis Markets.

Last week, they dropped off two pallets of diapers for us to kick-start our efforts - and we are very appreciative!

Today, we were able to spend some time in two local school districts together with our friends at PPL Electric Utilities.

We were able to help coordinate distributing 600 school packs between Warrior Run Elementary School and Mount Carmel Area Elementary School.

These packs will help students navigate the school year without worrying if they will have supplies to do their work. We are thankful for our partnerships in our local communities!

🍼💛 Diaper Dash is back!

Throughout October, we’re collecting diapers and wipes to support families across Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union counties.

✨ Get involved:

• Drop off diapers and wipes at Service 1st Federal Credit Union, Central Penn Bank & Trust, Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA locations, or the Danville Area Community Center.

• Organize a drive at your workplace or with your community group.

• Give online at svuw.org/events/diaper-dash-2026 to help us purchase needed sizes and fill gaps where demand is highest.

Susquehanna Valley United Way recently welcomed UWP for a visit to its new Drop-In Wellness Center, a welcoming space designed to connect community members with support, resources, and opportunities to improve their well-being.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to see this innovative resource firsthand and learn more about the impact it is making in the community. Thank you to the Susquehanna Valley United Way team for the warm welcome and for your continued commitment to strengthening lives across the region.

🌿 United in Recovery Hiking Series Update

We’ve decided to bring this year’s hiking series to a close following the August hike.

As we continue building United in Recovery, we’re taking a closer look at how we can make future events more accessible and engaging for our community.

We’re grateful to everyone who supported the series this summer, and we’re already looking at ways to bring the hiking series back in the future with more opportunities for our community to connect, move and support one another. 💙

In the meantime, we’re excited to continue creating opportunities for connection and recovery through United in Recovery, including the opening of The Wellness Hub.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We’re just getting started. ❤️
