Storm has swimmers from Sun Prairie and its surrounding areas, age 6-60, competing in town and around the country. We work extremely hard to create a safe, challenging environment for anyone interested in participating in the sport, with a total roster of over 200 swimmers.

Four different swimmers plus a relay broke team records last weekend at the 13&O LC Championships, but it was Addi Lambert that stole the show. Going a remarkable 5-6 on best times with 3 records and 3 new Winter Sectional cuts, Addi scored points in 5 different events over the weekend. Storm stayed tough through 4 long days of competition and learned great habits for next season -- a wonderful way to end the season.

With two days of evaluations still to go, we've already welcomed 24 new members to Storm Aquatics for our 2026-2027 season. Six different training groups have been filled out, led by a dozen new Thunderstorm swimmers.

One of the biggest initiatives for Storm Aquatics each year is Storm Saves. This program offers free swim lessons to the community, provided by our 13&O swimmers who volunteer each of their evenings. Almost all of the participants this year were returners from last summer, and the progress they made this year was immense. Water safety improved in every child, and several of the swimmers were diving, swimming across the pool, and learning multiple strokes. A special thanks for Mythri, Yeva, Valerie, Elaina, Will, Sutter, Mahati, Quincy, and Stella for their time, patience, and skills this week.

The best long course season in YEARS culminates this weekend with the largest Storm representation for Team Wisconsin ever. Margaret, Legend, Cypress, Jamieson, and Anika will swim this weekend at the University of Minnesota at the Central Zone 14&U Championships. Racing starts tomorrow morning for our 11&O swimmers as they take on swimmers from Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, North & South Dakota, and the Midwestern LSCs. The five Storm swimmers participating breaks our previous record from 2019!

It was the definition of a team effort this weekend in Brown Deer as our 12&U swimmers powered through to an 11th place overall finish at the Wisconsin LSC Championships. FIVE different swimmers earned podium visits, as well as six different relay teams finishing top 8 in the state. Nearly 70% of swims were best times, with Storm swimmers of all ages making an impact on the meet. What a way to end the season for our younger swimmers!

Our third meet of last weekend was an adventure meet to the Maine LSC Championships at beautiful Colby College. Families arrived Tuesday/Wednesday and we met up for a team practice, dinner, and activities on Thursday night. That was followed by a full three days of prelims/finals action. With a dozen kids, Storm Aquatics finished 6th overall! Anika James, Liam Gebhard, and Isaiah MacDonald all earned top 3 high point awards for the weekend. It was a great weekend of swimming, but more importantly -- it was a great time developing friendships and making memories.

One local short course + one regional long course meet last weekend meant a variety of ways for our swimmers to thrive, and they did! Nearly 2 out of 3 swims were best times all weekend, some of the highest rates at both meets. Two whole columns of new BB cuts on our chart, and not to be forgotten -- Yeva & Mythri earned their under :30 brownies!
