September is THE month for Bike Forward.

The miles are adding up, the big ride is almost here, and now it’s time to see just how much good we can do together.

It’s **Bike Forward Giving Month**, and there are plenty of ways to get in on it (on our website www.bikeforwardwi.org):

**Donate** — Every dollar helps us make a bigger impact for this year’s beneficiary, Rooted.

**Rep Bike Forward** — Our 2026 apparel store is officially OPEN! Grab some Bike Forward gear, look good doing it, and help support the ride.

**Spread the word** — Share a post, tell a friend, send it to your group chat. It all helps.

**Get your business involved** — Sponsor, donate, match gifts or rally your crew behind the cause.

**Cheer us on** — On September 10, our riders will tackle 200+ miles while raising money for an organization doing some pretty incredible work in our community.

And speaking of giving…

We may have a little something tucked away for a few of our biggest donors this year.

Let’s just say generosity might pair particularly well with a nice glass of w**e. 😉

🚲🌱 BIG NEWS: Meet Bike Forward’s 2026 Beneficiary — Rooted!

This year, every mile we ride will help put more kids in the garden, more hands in the dirt and more fresh food within reach.

Through its Farm to School program, Rooted helps more than 2,000 Madison-area kids learn where food comes from, how it grows and what it means to build a healthier community.

And on September 12, we’re joining forces in a pretty incredible way:

🚲 Bike Forward rides 200+ miles
🌱 Rooted hosts its annual Farm to School Aid event
💚 Together, we’re aiming to raise $50,000

Two organizations. Two events. One day. One shared goal.

We couldn’t think of a better organization to ride for — and we can’t wait to show you what this partnership can do.

Here’s to 200+ miles for 2,000+ local kids.

⚾ **Bike Forward Night at the Ballpark!** 🚲

What a night! On Saturday, we had an absolute blast cheering on the Madison Mallards while raising money for Bike Forward at the same time. 💙

A portion of every ticket purchased through our fundraiser came right back to Bike Forward — helping us continue our mission of moving our community forward through cycling, connection, and giving back.

And we had an extra-special moment to kick off the night: **three Bike Forward kids got to throw out the first pitch!** ⚾👏 We may be a little biased, but we think they knocked it out of the park.

Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, joined us at the game, cheered with us, and continues to support Bike Forward. Fundraisers like this are about so much more than raising money — they’re about getting together, having some fun, and supporting a mission we all believe in.

And judging by the smiles, we’d say this one was a home run. 😉

What an incredible day!

This past weekend, Bike Forward was proud to co-host an event supporting one of our previous beneficiaries, The Ability Center.

We had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people, reconnect with friends, and most importantly, see firsthand the impact of the adaptive hand cycles that Bike Forward supporters helped fund.

There was nothing better than watching riders enjoy the lakeside views, fresh air, exercise, and camaraderie that these bikes make possible. The smiles on their faces were a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

We're excited to continue cheering on The Ability Center as they move forward with their incredible vision for the future. Be sure to follow their progress as they work toward breaking ground on the Moss Universal Park.
