☀️⛳ What a fantastic day on the course! ⛳☀️

Yesterday, the Sun Prairie Rotary Club hosted another successful Rotary Golf Outing at The Oaks Golf Course, and what a great event it was!

From friendly competition on the fairways to great drinks, laughs, and fellowship, it was a wonderful day spent with Rotarians, sponsors, golfers, and friends who came together to support our mission of Service Above Self.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who made this event possible. Including our golfers, generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers, and the outstanding staff at The Oaks Golf Course for being such great hosts.

Your support helps fund our Patrick Marsh Project, youth scholarships, youth leadership programs, and community service projects that make a lasting impact here in Sun Prairie.

🌿🎉 What an incredible day at Patrick Marsh! 🎉🌿

Today, the Sun Prairie Rotary Club proudly celebrated the Community Dedication of The Story of Patrick Marsh. A project that began with a vision to create a place where visitors of all ages can learn about the history, ecology, and importance of one of our community's greatest natural treasures.

We were thrilled to see such a wonderful turnout from community members, partners, donors, elected officials, and supporters who joined us to celebrate this milestone.

This project is a testament to what can be accomplished when a community comes together. Through the dedication of our Rotarians, generous donors, volunteers, and community partners, we've created a lasting educational resource that will inspire conservation, stewardship, and learning for generations to come.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this vision a reality and to everyone who joined us today to celebrate. We hope you'll visit Patrick Marsh and experience The Story of Patrick Marsh for yourself!

🎸🤘 Rocking for a Great Cause! 🤘🎸

While thousands of fans were enjoying the AC/DC concert at Camp Randall, members of the Sun Prairie Rotary Club were hard at work behind the concession stands!

Our amazing volunteers donated their time and energy to help serve concertgoers, and in return, the proceeds will support the Sun Prairie Rotary Foundation and the many local projects we fund throughout the year, including Patrick Marsh.

Fundraisers like this allow us to continue living our Rotary motto of Service Above Self, supporting scholarships, youth programs, community organizations, and service projects that make a difference right here in Sun Prairie.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our Rotarians and family members who spent their evening working hard instead of watching the show. Your dedication and teamwork are what make our club so special!

Every hot dog and brat served, every beer opened, and every smile shared helps us give back to our community. ❤️💛

🌿 A Vision Becomes Reality at Patrick Marsh! 🌿

The Sun Prairie Rotary Club is proud to invite the community to the dedication of the Patrick Marsh Overlook Educational Panels on Tuesday, July 21.

What began as a vision to honor the legacy of Bill Wambach has grown into a lasting educational destination that tells the incredible story of Patrick Marsh—from its glacial beginnings and Indigenous history to its remarkable restoration as one of Wisconsin's most important wetlands.

This project is a true example of "Service Above Self." Through the generosity of local donors, volunteers, community partners, and Rotarians, these interpretive panels and overlook will inspire students, families, and visitors for generations to come.

We hope you'll join us as we celebrate this exciting milestone and the many people who helped bring this vision to life. Together, we're preserving our community's history, protecting our natural resources, and creating opportunities for learning and discovery.

🎉 Congratulations to our 2026 Service Above Self Award Recipients! 🎉

The Sun Prairie Rotary Club is proud to recognize three outstanding individuals whose dedication, leadership, and selfless service have made our community stronger.

🌟 Jeff Tubbs has devoted countless hours to improving the lives of others through his service with Sunshine Place, the Sun Prairie Education Foundation, United Way of Dane County, and the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation. His leadership in expanding Sunshine Place will have a lasting impact by helping meet the growing needs of families in our community. Jeff's commitment to education, health care, and food security truly embodies Service Above Self.

🌟 Scott Kugler is being honored as he retires after more than 20 years as the City of Sun Prairie's principal planning and development official. Scott's vision, passion, and thoughtful leadership have helped shape nearly every major development project in our city. His dedication has left a lasting legacy, making Sun Prairie an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

🌟 Lorie Candelmo has spent more than 25 years giving back to Sun Prairie with incredible energy and enthusiasm. From supporting our schools, Chamber of Commerce, museums, and nonprofits to volunteering with Sunshine Place, Meals on Wheels, Corn Fest, DECA, Neighborhood Navigators, and countless other organizations, Lorie's passion for serving others is truly inspiring. Her willingness to say "yes" whenever help is needed has touched every corner of our community.

🌟 Devin Willis, a student at Sun Prairie High School, has already demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to serving others. As a member of the Student School Board and an active volunteer throughout the community, Devin consistently goes above and beyond to make a positive difference. His leadership and dedication show that the future of our community is in great hands.

🌟 McKinley Peck, also a Sun Prairie High School student, is being recognized for her outstanding compassion, leadership, and service. From supporting special needs students and families in crisis through organizations like Shelter from the Storm and Ronald McDonald House to raising awareness for su***de prevention and pancreatic cancer, McKinley has made a meaningful impact. As a founding member of the Green Bandana Club and a leader in Mental Health Awareness Week and the Dane County Mental Health Symposium, she exemplifies what it means to care for others and live the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self.

These five remarkable individuals inspire us through their generosity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to serving others. Their contributions have made Sun Prairie a stronger, more compassionate community.
